Recording an IVR greeting directly from your phone
1. Go to Smart PBX > Main Number > Incoming Call Handling
2. Choose the route you will be calling into (Open Hours, After Hours, or Holiday)
3. Choose Virtual Receptionist

4. Expand Record it over the phone and follow the directions

A few things to note:
-
As step 1 states, You MUST be dialling from a phone that is already registered to this account; otherwise it will not work
-
Step 3 states to enter the PIN “when prompted.” However, if you have already recorded a greeting and wish to re-record it, be advised that you will not be prompted to enter a PIN anymore (because your current greeting will be playing). Instead, just proceed to enter the PIN code while your greeting is playing. This will take you to the record menu again.
-
If you want to record a greeting for different routes (After Hours, or Holiday) please note that they each have their own separate PINs.
-
You can only record a message for the IVR route that you are calling into (Open Hours, After Hours, or Holiday). So if, when you phone, you land in the Open Hours IVR, then you will only be able to record a greeting for this IVR (and using its unique PIN). To record for After Hours or Holiday, you will need to adjust your configuration so that you are hitting these respective routes when you phone (and use their respective PINs)
