Configuring the Virtual Receptionist (IVR)
From the SmartPBX app, choose Main Number

Setting up your office hours
If you want to handle open vs. closed hours differently, choose Office Hours Strategy and configure your day of week & time preferences.
Otherwise, if you are not configuring separate messages for open vs. closed, then just leave 24 hours Open Office selected.

Optionally, repeat for Office Holidays if you wish to setup separate Holiday routes.
Setting up how calls are routed
1. Expand the Incoming Call Handling panel.
2. If you had chosen to setup separate Open, Closed to Holidays routes, click the appropriate panel below (Open Hours, After Hours, or Holidays) depending on which route you want to configure.
3. Choose Virtual Receptionist

You will be presented with the Virtual Receptionist configuration page

Adding Routes
To add menu options, click Add route and follow the prompts. You are not limited to just users here. For example, you can set the destination to a Ring Group, voicemail, or another even another IVR.
The SmartPBX Directory is a special option that allows the caller to type the first few letters of any user and be directed to them. See here for adding users to the company directory.
Configuring the Greeting
There are three ways to install a greeting:
- By using the Text to Speech
- By uploading your own recording (MP3 or WAV)
- By dialling into the PBX and recording it over the phone
The panel under the Greetings section will guide you in all cases.
If you have setup an Office Hours Strategy or Office Holidays, you proceed to configure the greeting and routes for those paths as well.
