How do I configure audio codecs for a device?

1. From Smart PBX, choose Devices, and click the wrench icon for the device

   

2. Choose Advanced > Audio

   

3. Drag your desired codecs from the left side. You can also re-order them to determine which priority to try each codec

   

Always set a fallback codec

A device with only one codec enabled (such as g722) and no fallbacks (such as g711 or g729) can drop calls. Drag in more than one codec so the device has something to fall back to.
