How do I allow my customers to log into the portal to administer their accounts?

Customers may log into the same portal that you use to login. They will need to use their own credentials (email, password, and account name). See below for an example of how to obtain this.

1. Masquerade the account that you wish to allow portal access for.

2. Go to Smart PBX > Users, and click on the specific user (that you want to allow portal access for) to reveal the email address they are registered with. This is the email they will use to login, along with their password, and the account name (top-right corner)

If you do not recall their password, you can use the Change Credentials link to update it.

4. Once they have these three pieces of information (email, password, and account name), they can visit our portal and login with that info. In the case of the above example, it would look like the following:

You will need to repeat for each user that you want to provide access.

A few things to note:

  • You may want to disable certain apps and only provide access to a select few apps. See here for details on how to configure apps.

  • You may not want to use a BrightPBX branded interface. If you would like to setup a custom portal with your own URL (e.g. portal.mydomain.com), your own logo, and your own colours, please contact support@brightpbx.ca to arrange to get this setup.
