Adding users to the PBX

1. Open the SmartPBX app, click Users on the left, and then Add User toward the top

2. Enter the user details and click Create User. Note: It’s important that you enter a valid email address, as this email is what the user will use if they need to login and use our User Portal app.

3. One the user is created, you will see them listed in your user list. Under the Devices column, you will see None indicating this user does not have any devices associated with the account (which makes sense, since we just created it).

4. To add a device, click None to open the devices for the user (where there will be none in this case), then click Add New Device

5. When the device type list opens, choose Soft Phone (for sake of this example)

6. Enter any name of your choice. Make note of the SIP Username, SIP Password, and Realm, as you will need this data when configuring your soft phone

7. Click Create Device when you are ready

8.  You will see the device is now listed.

Optionally, you may add more devices for this user using the same process
